Meet The Team Behind the Travel Clinic

RaviRavi Gowda, Founder and Medical Director  

Dr. Gowda trained in the Department of Infection and Tropical Medicine in Sheffield, and obtained the Diploma of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene from the School of Tropical Medicine in Liverpool.  Following his junior doctor training, he backpacked his way overland from Australia through South East Asia and eventually to India. 

During this time he experienced a variety of terrains: rainforests, mountains, scuba diving in tropical oceans and living with local people in rural as well urban tropical settlements. He is not only an expert in tropical medicine but shares your passion for independent travel, too!

Veronika, Scientist

Veronika is a laboratory technician with an AP degree in Chemical and Biotechnical  Science. Presently, Veronika is attending her final year of BSc degree, Biological and Chemical Sciences, at Coventry University. Veronika is passionate about scientific research and healthcare. Therefore, she aspires to become a research scientist. In Veronika’s free time, she loves doing creative make-up art, going out into nature, spending time with her family, friends and with her animals.

Amy, Office Manager

Amy joined the Travel Klinix team in March 2018 and has been working in the administration field for over 18 years. Amy prides herself on providing excellent customer service and is always ready to greet people with a smile. Amy loves spending time with her family, exploring the great outdoors and curling up with a good book and a glass of wine!

Mikayla, Project and Marketing Administrator

Mikayla recently graduated from the University of Warwick where she studied Linguistics. Mikayla has a great interest in languages, culture and societies. She spends most of her free time playing netball, socialising with her friends or watching documentaries. Working at Travel Klinix and hearing our client’s amazing stories has given Mikayla more of a bug to go and explore for herself!

Beth, Policy and Compliance Administrator

Beth has a deep love for traveling and previously had a successful career as a professional dancer which took her all over the globe from China to Copenhagen. Beth is now in her first year at Coventry University as a mature student where she is studying for her degree in BA (Hons) Integrative Counselling and is loving every minute of it. Outside of work and university Beth likes to immerse herself in all things health and wellness and is particularly fond of yoga/pilates. She has also recently discovered breath-work which she is really enjoying. As well as this, Beth loves tucking herself away with a good book and a large Americano.

Laila, Assistant Administrator

Laila is currently a second year History student at the University of Warwick. She is most passionate about modern and international History – often subjects that are familiar from the news, including the Histories of Medicine. Laila used to love traveling and can’t wait to begin seeing the world again. She loves interacting with different people and has also found a real interest in healthcare (both physical and mental).

Mamta, Assistant Administrator

 Mamta has been working part-time at Travel Klinix since 2013 and has enjoyed being a part of the Travel Klinix team. Outside of working Mamta is also a dentist and a mum to two lovely children. She spends her spare time listening to music, going for walks and cooking.
